Galaxy S9 Plus Text Message Bubbles and Background...

I just got my S9 Plus today and I can say there are some thing that I am not impressed with.

With Galaxy S8 Plus you were able to change the Text Message Bubbles and customize the Background with your own picture.

I'm not sure as to why it was not a feature brought over to the S9 Plus, the text messaging app seems archaic and disappointing. 

**I know many people have complained about this. Can you please see if the developers can push an update you make this an option.

I'm on a Note8 and just upgraded from Oreo to Pie. This update lost my funtionality of being able to change the background in my messaging app. Looks like it's more an issue of the app on Android Version 9.

Hello.. I just change to Message+ from Verizon.  I finally have an sms app that can be customized anyway you want and had more features.

My Verizon store had a lot of complaints about the messages app changed in the update so they been converting Samsung users to Message+ and they are like me happer now. Its also free with no ads

Just use a different SMS app. I used Trxtra instead of the factory app.

well at least the message wallpaper option is back; on my phone at least. bubbles are still unchangeable though

Years ago I switched from an IPhone to the Galaxy series because Androids were much more customizable. Here I am a decade later about to switch back to an IPhone because most of the customization options have been taken away from us Android users. Now, you can customize an Iphone and not Galaxy. Highly disappointed.

Hello, I bought an s9 recently to avoid having to buy a new phone at the beginning of next year when AT&T is going to change the network.  I was looking for a solution to the horrid colors of the text bubbles.  I have a solution to the custom background picture.  In messages, tap the menu in the upper right, and there is now an option to change the wallpaper for the message app.  Thanks.
