Galaxy S9 randomly calling while I'm texting

I am having an issue where my phone will randomly call the person that I am having a text conversation with. I notice that it usually happens when I am using the talk to text option. I will send a message and still have the text thread open while I'm waiting for a response and my phone will call that person that I am texting. I don't think that I am hitting the "Call" button on the top right side of the message screen (but I guess it's possible?). I really think it's a glitch or there's something happening or something I'm doing that is causingthis. Does anyone else have this issue or know what I can do to fix it...?!?!

Try checking your settings, Samsung has a feature that if your on a screen where your typing a message or looking at someone number your able to put the phone to your ear without hitting anything and it will start the call, I turn that feature off and it has stop doing that for me

Sorry, the feature is call direct call. Hopefully that fixes the problem

Fixed!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! The "Direct Call" option was enabled for some reason. I switched it off and problem solved! For anyone who is looking for it, go into your "settings" and then go to "advanced settings" and then go to "motions and gestures" and turn off the "direct call" option! And a side thought, who would like for their phone to call whichever contact is displayed on their screen any time they put the phone close an object (like a hand... or a pocket.... or a table... or maybe a face lol). Yep, my Note 9 did the same thing. Ever since I got the Note 10+, this issue has stopped. Thank God! It was probably fixed through a software update.
