I've been using the Google calendar for a long time on my Samsung Galaxy S10.  Latest updates on phone and app.

It used to be that when I entered an event and supplied the location, it would provide a list of possible addresses as I typed.  Then when I selected one, the event included a picture of that location.  Also, my Tesla would pull that shared calendar event and when I got in the car, it would already have the destination.

Now, there is no list of choices for location (although Google maps does do that function). no picture is shown for the event, and the car doesn't pick up the location.

Has anyone else observed this?   It just started in the last couple of days.  Is there some setting for the app in Samsung that needs changing?

FWIW, my S10 Calendar started doing Location prompting right again.  But  reminded me about the security patches being stopped.  I had forgotten about that happening.

I got a S25 Ultra.  I'll miss MST and sd card slot, but I did GET UWB that unlocks my Tesla MUCH easier than the old S10.  PLUS I can do a hands free open of the hatchback with just the phone in my pocket.  And I got 5G, but that seems to be very slow on the upload here.  And a better camera, I think.  Certainly better telephoto.  And a stylus, but I'm not sure I will use that very often.  Would have used it more if it still had the bluetooth camera trigger.

And the calendar even locations works on this phone too.  I'm guessing some update broke it or the service was down for a while.

It could be that Google has stopped supporting this feature on your S10, assuming you mean S10 phone. It is a 6-year-old phone.

The s10 still works great. I like the camera. And I like the magnetic strip emulator. I've used a few times in countries that don't have tap to pay. And I like the SD slot. I'd get a new phone maybe, but there has been nothing that caught my eye. I would just lose features I use. Does the location work for you?

With all due respect as to MST, there are not many terminals left in the wild that use MST technology. It is now NFC technology that is utilized.

Not having a device that gets routine security patches leaves your phone open to security threats. Especially since MST is used in 3rd world countries and can be used with malicious intent.

I have a modern phone, every thing works.

I've been to 53 countries. There are Still lots of places mst. I wouldn't have been able to buy some souvenirs in Turkey. This phone also has nfc. I have the phone that does what I want. Except they removed features. That was a really nice feature. Oh well.
