Why do I have to turn my notifications off on Samsung Messages to avoid duplicate notifications on other social media apps.

What do you mean?  Can you explain in more detail?

I am constantly getting repetitive notifications on my other apps, ie. X, Instagram, etc, even after I view delete them. Up to five or more times. But when I stop my notifications for Samsung Messages the duplications for other apps stop.

I don't use Samsung Messages, I use Google. Do you mean that when you have the notifications on for Samsung messages, all your social media apps send you multiple notifications for those particular apps? This should not happen.  Or, do you mean that you are getting Samsung Messages notifications  in your social media apps?

Have you cleared your phone's cache partition?  This sounds like a case of crossed wires that a cache cleaning would help clear up.  If clearing the phone's cache does not help, delete the cache and data in the Samsung Messaging app.  Clearing the app data will not delete your messages, it will only reset any customization and settings you made to the app and you will have to redo them.

I get duplicate notifications on other apps. I've cleared both cache and data on affected apps. I've Uninstaller and reinstalled them.I've cleared cache partition. Repetitive notifications turned off on main phone and apps that you can. Guess I'll just leave notifications off on Samsung Messages. 🤷

You can put in an error report since you have determined the trigger to be a Samsung product. Be specific about what's happening and what steps you have taken.
