I got spoofed today with a notification of "suggested updates" on my Galaxy S9.
The popup offered:
Solitare Tripeaks
Smart News
Jackpot Party
Cashman Casino
Slotomania

As there was no X to cancel, the Next button notified me that these will be installed shortly.
$#!+ !!!!
I dont want that crap, so it went into apps to remove each of these.
It also installed "Mobile Services Manager" which is like gum on your shoe. No way to remove it. I could stop, eliminate notifications and disable, but afraid this will enable again.

I bet it is something from GSN, Game Show Network, which I stopped dealing with as they have sloppy in allowing virus ridden ads, and other practices. This seems like a way they could get into my business without my explicite permission.

Any thoughts of how to remove this trash?

It's a carrier specific leach app ... it installs apps on your phone without your permission.

There's a long answer in there that goes into details.
