How to delete Shared content in the messages app?

I cannot figure out how to delete shared content in the messages app. I was able to do it on my galaxy s9  but can't on my 10. The only options are to download or share.

@aliciaapple is it content that you shared or content that someone else shared? You may only be able to delete it if you shared it.

Both. And yes you can delete it as a message individually but if forget to do it everytime and you have a bunch to do, it is annoying.
