Galaxy S PhonesOpen "Settings"
Tap "Accounts and Backup"
Tap Accounts, then scroll down and locate the Samsung account to be removed. Tap it.
Tap "Personal Info", then tap the three dots icon and choose Sign Out. If you don't have the Personal Info section, just choose the three dots menu where you already are. Keep in mind that this requires you to enter the password to the Samsung account to be removed.
If you don't have the password, it may be worth considering to factory format the device, which erases everything on it and sets it up like new. This would remove any data from the previous owner and let you fully set it up for yourself. (keep in mind to back up anything important on it, factory reset will erase everything)

Galaxy S PhonesI want to deactivate this account but I cannot even get as far as the three dots because as soon as I access the account (before that even) it starts hassling me to set up two-step verification. Obviously I don't want to go all through that for an account I never use. You'd think it would notice that there is zero activity in the account and never has been, and stop sending me goddamn notifications asking me to do the two-step verification. The constant arrival of those notifications is the primary reason I want to remove the account. Any way of getting past this problem? Thanks.
