Galaxy S PhonesNew s9 purcahsed in the US , updated the Samsung update this morning, and this error keeps coming up, tried Samsung Australia , was told since it is a US phone, only the US can help you, contacted the US help centre (in India ), spent 3 hours chatting , tried very single option, answered every single question, was told cannot help you, contact the Australian office, unbelievable ...Samsung would show such disregard. Shocked. No one was willing to give me any further contact names for Samsung management to escalate the issue, Have tried all the fixes on line , nothing seems to work. Really disappointed SCAMsung....

Galaxy S PhonesHello Guys, if you are in Sydney, not tech savvy, too afraid to mess with your phone or just don't want to get your hands dirty, send me a personal message. Just click my name and then 'send message'.
I may be able to help you out.

Galaxy S PhonesAfter the update and all associated issues I out of frustration factory reset my phone and guess what?! All issues are still there! IMS error message, draining battery and ultra slow performance. This is so crazy that Samsung could roll out an update with all these issues!

Galaxy S PhonesKorean version of Note 8, SM-N950N, 256 GB internal memory, the same. It is an unlocked Korean phone from SK Telecom which I use in the Republic of Georgia. Functioned perfectly well for two years now, but the september OTA upgrade to bootloader version 5 resulted in the "IMS Service keeps stopping" problem. Factory reset, deleting data/cache/force stopping IMS-related items in the apps list in settings, and flashing the latest firmware (the same one which caused problem OTA - could not downgrade because all previous versions are bootloader v.4) from SamMobile with Odin did not help.
Interestingly, when I remove the sim card, the problem disappears - the nagging alert, which otherwise pops up every 10 seconds and freezes the phone, disappears.

Galaxy S PhonesAnother one here from Australia (with my Hawaii S9 that I purchased about and month ago and the update just installed this morning).
Went straight to the factory reset and was surprised when I saw the 'IMS service stopped' message at the setup screen lol.
It's been about 10 minutes since taking the SIM card out and looks like I haven't got the IMS popup and doesn't seem like it's overheating.
Guess it looks like I'm back to my broken screen J5 pro until this issue is rectified. Soon hopefully, Samsung.

Galaxy S PhonesHi all,
I am also getting this issue with my S9+ which was purchased unlocked from the US and has been working fine here in Sydney, Aus for over a year now until the latest update. IMS error keeps popping up, phone lags and freezes and phone running hot. Hopefully they push out a new update to fix this very soon otherwise I will they will be losing plenty of customers.

Galaxy S PhonesHi,
I'm having the same issue with my unlocked S9 plus.
Model number SM-G965U1
Carrier Vodafone Australia.
Keep getting the IMS message, my phone is just over a month old and is pretty much useless. Have always been a big supporter of Samsung products, all my phones and tablets have been Samsung and have always been happy until now. Is there another update coming that will fix the problem? I've done the factory reset and it hasn't helped, I've cleared the IMS cache, but nothing..
Is there an actual solution or should I just bin my phone and walk away from Samsung?
Not Happy!

Galaxy S PhonesI am also just experiencing this issue after the latest update! I bought my phone from the US and am living in Australia . It was working great until the update . Now the IMS service message keeps popping up and there is a lag in response time to apps and typi. How can Samsung release an update that is causing so many issues to many users?!
