New s9 purcahsed in the US , updated the Samsung update this morning, and this error keeps coming up, tried Samsung Australia ,  was told since it is a US phone, only the US can help you, contacted the US help centre (in India ), spent 3 hours chatting , tried very single option, answered every single question,  was told cannot help you, contact the Australian office, unbelievable ...Samsung would show such disregard. Shocked. No one was willing to give me any further contact names for Samsung management to escalate the issue, Have tried all the fixes on line , nothing seems to work. Really disappointed  SCAMsung....

I had tried this suggestion several times yesterday and now once more because you suggested it. The problem persist! Also, I did a factory reset and the problem persist. The strange thing is that using my Spanish SIM solve the problem. Hope this can point us in the solution direction.

In the exact same situation, US unlocked Samsung S9, using in Australia (successfully for 1 year until the most recent update).  Commenting in the hopes that Samsung will see there are heaps of people with this problem and will get it together to address and fix this issue.

Yet another victim! I performed the recommended update on Sept 7 and now have the same fault. However, in addition the phone freezes/hangs for several seconds when touched and burns through the entire battery power in a few hours, as a result it runs very hot! My phone was purchased in Australia from a Samsung reseller 5 months ago and worked faultlessly until the update. I too have spent several hours researching the internet/Youtube etc. performed multiple factory resets and tried all the recommended fixes described in this thread (plus many others) without success. Even, went to the Samsung store for assistance and was told that my S9+ was an international model and as such was not supported by Samsung Australia. C'mon Samsung do the right thing by your loyal customers and please fix the problem. If not, it might be APPLE time!

This is not a solution.  I suspect Sasmsung have done this for whatever nefarious reason, and not the OP.  As at 16th Sept, the problem remains.

Hi Team,

You know which countries are now impacted. Why haven't you rolled back the latest patch that it causing this issue? This is killing our mobiles and making them useless. Should be a simple thing to do while you work on the solution.

You are going to lose a lot of customers over the delays here.
