Issues with sending pictures from gallery Galaxy S9

I have a hard time sending pictures from gallery on Galaxy 9s.

what obstacles are you running into when trying to send pictures? Can you go into more detail?

I open gallery, select picture to share, go to contact and select. When I get to the message screen, no pictures are there.

have you tried sharing the photo directly in the message? There should be a share media button at the bottom of the message that looks like this:
