Placing a folder within the dock part of the main screen (typically where people have their icon for messaging or calling at the bottom) will get rid of the folder name. This happened after the home button style was changed to transparent at the bottom of the screen. I believe it has been over 2 years. I've tried reporting this multiple times, but no help agent ever wants to do anything with it or submit a report of some kind to anyone. Instead, they try telling me to turn the phone off and back on or useless things like that.
