Galaxy S PhonesIt has been 3 days and I'm still not able to charge through the port. I keep getting the message that there is moisture detected. I've done what was recommended here (blow into port, shake phone to see if water comes out). The phone has not been exposed to water.
After reboot, the message won't come up, but won't charge. After first charge post-reboot, message will come up again. I've only had the phone less than 30 days. Will this moisture message ever go away?

Galaxy S PhonesExcellent! Just done this to my Neo 5, only just stated showing message today and wouldn't charge and down to 15%! Saved a load of hassle. Didn't have it near any moisture, tried hairdryer and contact cleaner, but to no avail.
Is there a fix for this yet? I assume it is some sort of firmware glitch or does it indicate an emerging hardware problem.
Kind Regards
Peter

Galaxy S PhonesAre we trying to imply here that after every exposure of the waterproof S8 to water we need to be cleaning the charging port with alcohol?
Didn't ever have to do this with S5 nor with S7.
S8 restarted while the USB plugged in will charge fine - unplug and plug the cable back in again and here we go - moisture detected.
Obviously it's a software error.

Galaxy S PhonesThe software error went away after I completely powered off then on.
I don't think the alcohol part had anything to do with it.

Galaxy S PhonesI kept getting this message over and over again. There is NO moisture in my phone. Also, sometimes when I plugged in the charger (Samsung OEM), it would think I was hooking up a Samsung VR something or other. I finally fixed this issue by going into the battery settings - advanced settings and disabling the "Fast Cable Charging". Nice job, Samsung!
