New update removed hide front camera option

After doing a great deal of research I decided on a galaxy s10 plus pearl phone. I liked the features including the camera options. In the past I have avoided phones with front cameras but I was assured that with these phones I can hide the front camera. And now one of my major reasons for getting this phone is gone. If I knew they did this to customers I don't think I would of went with samsung. I'm regretting my purchase hard today. I don't know if in the future I will get a samsung.

I've used this feature since I bought the phone nearly 2 years ago. I don't like that they took it away. Seems to me the user/phone owner should be the one to decide whether they want that big, ugly black spot staring at them whenever they use their phone or not. I hate the way my phone looks now... its also an inconvenience since some apps take a little longer to load since they now have to reconfigure themselves to compensate for the camera taking up space that the app might use.

I did exactly the same. I only bought this phone knowing I could hide the camera. Its really making not like the phone anymore. I'm not a fan of the tall screen anyway. They really need to bring it back as like others I'm thinking of changing my phone  because of it and it might not be a Samsung considering the expense

Just found an app called "round screen corners and hide notch" that seemed to fix the problem. I really don't understand why they'd take the option away like that.

I agree. I will not be getting another Samsung device after they made this update to remove the hide front camera option. I absolutely hate how my phone looks now.
