No option to Always Force HDR Photos in the Camera App

There is No option to Always Force HDR Photos in the Camera App. Even with Auto HDR enabled, it doesn't tell us when it is taking an HDR image, and even if an HDR image is captured, there is no indication in the Gallery app that it is an HDR image. Sometimes, the HDR doesn't even turn on inspite of perfect conditions and the photo look super dull.

Request to add an option to Force HDR images so that we can enjoy the images.

I'd suggest Open Camera from the play store or f-droid which supports this and works with all rear cameras since an update last year. I'm not sure if raw works. It doesn't do .heic but since Samsung saves them as 8bpc there's zero image quality advantage anyway and the size decrease isn't worth the hassle of not being able to edit in native format

Completely agree with you but it's just that there's something bout the First Party Apps that is well optimized and works simply better than Third Party Apps, it would have been really good to have native support for such a basic feature. I don't care much about the file format so I'll give it a try for sure

Oh I agree completely. I'd rather the built in camera just did everything opencamera could and vice versa (open camera can't do slow motion video). I find myself only using opencamera when i need more control over HDR or night photos or the more advanced colorspace and bitrate settings for video.

I agreed. Auto HDR works 90% of the time for me. I miss having that force HDR option on the camera app. I am thinking that they should add it back in Camera Assistant app.
