Not being able to download software updates over cellular data

Well I'm shocked I found something better on the Verizon carrier branded firmware than the US unlocked firmware. It's that you can't download OTA updates over cellular data on the US unlocked firmware but on carrier firmware you can. I have unlimited data. There is absolutely zero reason that I should be required to connect to a WiFi network to download a OTA software update. Especially when it's something like 380MB size. This is unacceptable in 2019, this has been unacceptable for years now, this will always be unacceptable.

I was wondering about this. I have an OTA update. But my note 10 plus will only allow download over wifi

I cannot download software and firmware updates for my S7 edge states that "Couldn't download update unable to update the software. A network or server error iccurred. Try again later" 

It has been states this for the last 8 months.
