I thought this was Android 11 doing this, but apparently it's One UI "Media Controls", and I'm not seeing any way to stop it. In a big line in the notification panel (when I pull down the status bar to view notifications), it continually shows a player from an app I used a while ago, not last. Swiping these makes them go away temporarily, then shows another app's last-played thing, etc, up to three times; then it just shows a blank area. Pulling down the shade again later usually shows these again. These apps aren't the most-used when it comes to players; those apps rarely show up there. The whole thing is bizarre and obnoxious.

How do I just get rid of this line in the panel?

Android already allows media to have a line in its notification lines for now-playing or paused... Samsung's is extraneous and an obstacle.
