I have an S9+ and yesterday my phone was at UBRAKEiiFIX in which they did an update from Samsung.  Noticable changes, the menu/home/back buttons on the bottom are no longer hidden (YEAH) requiring frequent swipes up to expose.

Another nice update was instead of all the open apps  being tiled on one another like a deck of cards, they now appear side by  side similar to home screens.

Samsung bug that needs to be fixed:  Each open  app can no longer be closed individualy like before.  Only way to do so is to close all open apps by clicking on "Close All" button.  Samsung, please either return to titled open apps in which each one cn be closed seperately or fix the bug with no being able to close individual apps now.

In order to close out apps individually since the update, you have to swipe up.

Hey Google / Samsung-

It'd be nice if a notice or summary of these kind of changes to this kind of VERY basic thing was sent or included with each update - don't the developers / programmers or people in charge of making these changes actually USE the OS and devices?

I should not have to dig for info. for this  kind of change.

Also - I hate the cartoonish / child-lke look of the post-update icons and screens - a big step back in terms of sophistication and style.

In their effort to make things more user-friendly for idiots, they abandon logic

agreed,  I don't know where they get their suggestions like this to change something that has been an accepted way to close windows since windows were created back in the 90s.  The X  as in eXit

I am so angry!!  I am lost!  EVERYTHING I was used to is different!  Even the clock!  I keep looking to right side and it's GONE!  Now it is on left side in tiny font and I can't see it!  Everything is moved and impossible to read for me!

Totally agree, don't change something so basic without a summary! Only things found online for  9 Pie were advertisements for update with generic descriptions of "great" improvements. No practical info on dealing with or using new interface. Samsung completely clueless.

WHY can't they just use the X? WHY do I have to behave like I'm a moron and have the swipe everything. I have arthritis. Swiping isn't my go to thing. Was there a problem with clicking on the X? IF I WANTED AN APPLE PRODUCT WITH ONLY ONE WAY (and NEVER a logical way) to do things I would buy an Apple phone. Samsung - PLEASE stop making your phones act like Apple phones.
