Galaxy S PhonesI have an S20 and always update apps thru the Google Play Store. As of last week, I prompt to set up purchase verification appears instead of the actual Google Play Store. What is this?

Galaxy S PhonesDoes it come up randomly or when you open the store? You probably never set it up before, and now it wants you to. Purchase verification is a security measure to protect against unauthorized purchases from the store. There is no harm in setting it up, it requires no personal information, and you are just, in effect, telling the store by what method you want to verify it's you making the purchase. You can leave the biometric slider off if you want to use your password, or slide it on if you'd rather use a fingerprint or face. Once you set it up, you should not be prompted for it again. You can also tell it the frequency you want: always, every 30 minutes (what?? why?) or never.
