I've had the phone for about a week and the pictures are horrible. Always not focused and blurry and even cartoonish from being smooth. I have reset the camera, cleared the cache, updated all my apps. The only thing I haven't done is factory reset. I've also tried changing the settings on the camera and nothing helps. And when I upload to IG the photo quality is even worse. Any advice?

If clearing the cache did not help your symptom I would recommend a factory reset. Alternatively, you can have your device evaluated by a certified technician.

I have the exact same issue with my s10+. I spoke with a Samsung rep in person and they cleared the cache and restarted my phone. The rep also said that factory resetting does not do anything and didn't recommend that if it's a camera problem. At this point I still haven't found a solution.

I have a S8, I did a factory reset and no go.  Photos bad. Samsung told me to take to UFIX it.

I will try on Sunday, they said they will do the upgrade with out the glich.  I hope it works.

Samsung's software processing is terrible for any picture that is indoors or not in bright light. It's also very smooth processing that Koreans find popular but doesn't look good to the USA style of pictures.

Please use this app, it's a port for the USA versions of the phone. Those use the Snapdragon 855 processor instead of the Exynos one that is used in the rest of the world.

There are Exynos versions but they're harder to find.

Here's a link for the non-amp website (same page though)

This autofocus issue is happening on my google cam port too. I did a software update a couple of days ago and the cameras focusing system turned horrible. It won't focus sometimes and everything will be super out of focus/blurry. Only an app restart fixes this temporarily. How did samsung screw up their camera software this bad? I have a samsung s10 plus btw, their "flagship"

I'm having the same issue with my S10. It's frustrating! My older phone took better photos. Try launching your camera and change the Ratio to 3:4. Mine was set to Full but after changing the Ratio I did see an improvement. It's the 4th option up top to the right when camera is launched. Hope this helps.

For now yes. But I tried taking the option off and still blurry pictures.
