I've had the phone for about a week and the pictures are horrible. Always not focused and blurry and even cartoonish from being smooth. I have reset the camera, cleared the cache, updated all my apps. The only thing I haven't done is factory reset. I've also tried changing the settings on the camera and nothing helps. And when I upload to IG the photo quality is even worse. Any advice?

Hi there Samsung person. I tried all of those, and many other things. I have owned an S8 and and S9, both of which were genuinely excellent phones, really superb cameras, but the S10 has a massive flaw wiht the autofocus. This is the samsung forum, but try doing a search and you will find countless forums full of people wiht the same issue, most never fix it. I have tried everything on mine and yet the autofocus on the rear (non-selfie) cameras do not work, they always focus at infinity, whatever you do. This isn't something a front line script reader is going to solve I'm afraid, its a hardware fault that huge numbers of people are getting. I am currently opening up legal action via my credit card company with the company who sold me the phone as they are refusing to refund. If anyone else has this: feel free to try the factory reset and turning off as much as you can and removing cases and maybe you do just have a bit of a bad case or something, but for many, if you are still having issues, you may need to just face the possibility that you have the same hardware issue that so many S10 owners are facing and that you may need a refund. If you are offered an exchange I strongly suggest an instore pickup and to test the camera while there as this thing seems so prevailant that its not impossible you get the same issue again.

Hi guys the picture quality on the  s10 is very bad. Especially  the front camera. The pictures are blurry. Is there a setting that must be changed ? Very disappointed  in the phone 😞

I had this issue too. I contacted T Mobile. They said they would give me a refurbished S10+. I went in to pick it up. The rep looked at my phone and noticed that I had a camera lense protector on. I removed it, and voila...clear pictures. If upu have a camera lense protector on, remove it, and that can fix the issue.

I've had my S10 for nearly two years now. I really like the phone, except it takes the worst pictures of any smart phone I've owned. With the slightest bit of movement from the object or scenery being photographed, the pictures come out blurry. Atleast the moving object does, even if the movement is very slow.

It's been a rare occasion for me to get a clear picture of my now 1 year old, yet my wife's iphone has no problems doing so. I don't recall it being this way when I first got the phone, so I don't know if Samsung updated the photo processing or what, but it really makes me consider never getting a Samsung again.

I've tried to troubleshoot a bit based on other web threads but have had no luck. If anyone has had this issue and been able to resolve it please let me know. Samsung, if you're reading this please help.

I have an S7(2018) a couple of years ago they photos were excellent, then at some stage a year or so ago they started going all blurry with some sort of autofocus issue. Tried many things to no avail, the only fudge around is to go wide-angle (0.5x) when it works perfectly well, far from ideal situation. I have basically stopped takig photos for a year now.

I see this issue is supposedly solved, but I d not see a solution anywhere ... any progress??
