S9 Update to UI 2

Can somebody tell me all the ways that I can forced my phone to update. My mom has the same phone and her phone is more updated than mine. Can I transfer that update to my phone? Can I get from a link to the computer and transfer it to the phone?

Do you have the same carrier as your mom?

They are both unlocked

I know that for the S9 it just go up to the 2nd version after that it dosen't update anymore

And it doesn't show that any updates are available when you check?

No I don't think it goes any further. I just check now and my phone is one of the oldest model

Settings > Software Update > Download and Install
