since the last update, i am having issues with attaching items to message+ texts. I can attach them but they take forever to do so.

also, when i am in text and click to attach a picture, i can't see the pictures, they are grayed out.

Any advice? Suggestions?

I would recommend reaching out to your carrier as Message+ is a Verizon app.

Has the Message+ app been updated recently? You can try to force stop and clear cache on the app to see if that helps any.

Navigate to your settings > apps > scroll and click on Message+ app > force stop > storage > clear cache.

Hey have you tried these troubleshooting steps here?

  • Have you made sure that your phone and apps are up to date?
  • Have you tried clearing the cache for the app as mentioned above?
  • Are you using the messaging app that came with the phone?
  • Does it still perform the same way when your phone is in safe mode?
  • Have you tried resetting the network settings on your phone?
  • Have you tried clearing the cache partition on your phone?
  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
  4. An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  6. Press Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Which thing worked?  The turning it off and holding the volume and Bixby button, etc?

I've been having this same problem since the last update.  So irritating.

I wiped the cache partition, and it worked, but only temporarily. The problem returns after a few hours.

Hi! I have the same issues with the Messages app. I did all of the steps above and it worked for a bit but eventually went back to the same problem. Short of doing a hard reset are there any other ideas? Or do we think that this is an issue with the app that needs to be looked at? Thanks a ton!

I'm having the same issue. I tried a factory reset and I'm still having the same problem. So annoying.
