S9 sent SOS by itself?

My phone sent an SOS to three people last night by itself. It sent three photos from my night stand, one of which looks like my hand was hovering over it so I'm wondering if it sent while I was turning my volume down or something, perhaps I triggered it by mistake? I'm thinking that would be a pretty cool feature to know about but I have no idea how to do that on purpose if I ever needed to. What happened?

On the S9 the SOS setting is found in the settings menu under 'advanced features.'  It is triggered by pressing the power button 3 times rapidly, so you're probably correct that you did it inadvertently while adjusting the volume (probably pressed the power button at the same time without realizing you also had that button to get leverage to press the volume button).

It can be enabled/disabled in the settings, and you can also turn on or off the option to send pictures and a short audio clip.

I found a permanent solution to fix this annoying issue It really is the most annoying thing that happens to me sometimes when I accidentally press the power button three times It will send it an SOS to my mom And she thinks something happened to me So what I did was I changed pressing the power button three times into four times This will prevent you sending an SOS accidentally ever since I did that it doesn't happen anymore 😁👍
