Stock apps, whether they are made stock by Google, Samsung, or your carrier, can not be uninstalled. They can be disabled usually by going to Settings>Apps, clicking on the app in question (like the internet) and then the disable button. Some stock apps won't have that option, but that's the only way to disable an app.
You can't disable it, but you can change your browser to Google by doing this:
Apps>samsung internet>browser app>choose google
Now all incoming hyperlinks will be browsed through google.
I'm not sure how this was solved - you have to scroll to tab 6 where the REAL solution resides. Why does the mod give the wrong answer???
First go to sittings stop samsung internet ,then go to play store find samsung internet app uninstall (three bars top left). After, unclick auto update. Internet and notification's are now gone (but the icon remains). Keep in mind, now you have to manually update apps - I'd check once a week - just don't select the Samsung internet update... Thanks to the original post (which i edited).
