Samsung S6 LED not functioning during recharge

Since the previous upgrade, The LED does not turn on when I am charging my Samsung S6.  It used to glow red when charging and green when charged.  Now it is just off.  

I have had another update since this started and it did not correct the problem.  Is this a new "feature" or is there something I can do to turn the lights back on.  I use a charging pad, so I need those lights!  Nothing is more frustrating than getting up in the morning and realizing you didn't get charged the previous night because the phone wasn't on the right place on the pad.

I had the same problem after the update.

Simply go to settings > display and wallpaper > led indicator.  

Make sure the switch is in the 'on' position for the red (charging) and green (fully charged) indicator.

Ps- if you have the notifications LED on as well (i.e. messages, emails, etc.), you have to clear all notifications before the charging LED reappears.
