Usually for this type of issue you might be having a charger issue,charging port might need cleaning or charging port might be damaged. I recommend you clean the charging port first , then you use a different charging cable and charging adapter to see if it works. I would definetly take it over to an authorized Samsung repair center for a diagnostic like Ubreakifix. Samsung also has many affordable devices that you can get as an upgrade. As long as your phone is still powering on all of your information can be transferred to a new Samsung device via Samsung smart switch.
