My Samsung Galaxy 9 doesn't chime for  texts. I go to settings under apps and see the notifications under texts. It says I have one category deleted. I cannot turn on notifications for texts. How do I resolve this one category deleted? I do get emergency notifications but cannot turn it on on the settings screen. Anyone know what this is and how to resolve it?

Sorry, I don't know what any of that means or how to do it. I am not knowledgeable in phones. My Husband used to do these things for me. Please explain.

Looked it up and still didn't work. Any other suggestions as to what to to or who to go to to fix it?

If this is the massage app then try to clear cache/storage of this app and force stop it.

Disabling and enabling might also help..

Don't worry. Just tap on the message app and when the message box shows up, click on circle on top right corner to get into the settings.
