Text messaging app needs an update

Not sure where else to suggest this, but I think the text messaging app needs an update.

First, I like the Samsung messaging better than Google messaging mainly because Of the search option. Google messaging doesn't search words just images and places but only places with locations you've shared. Though google does allow you to share your location very easily and has animated emojis and can react to messages. I couldn't react to messages with samsung.

Second, I would really love to see tabs in the Samsung messaging app. Like on the top it'll be customizable. For example mine would be a tab for family, friends, work, school parents. That way I don't accidentally text the wrong person. Oh and another one for subscriptions I have a lot of subscriptions... on the top of the tabs it'll say a little number, however many unread messages are in there so you know if someone in that tab has texted you, and you can choose "mark all read" If you'd like.

Another thing that I think needs an update is the visual voicemail, maybe I'm not using mine right if anyone can help me, but there's literally 8 messages in there and those are like a year old, none of my new messages are going in there. If this is a user error disregard if anyone from Samsung is taking notes..

So..

1: update messaging to react to messages

2: make the emojis animated because they're cute

3: MOST IMPORTANT create tabs to organize contacts in messaging

Sincerely someone that wants to stop using Google messaging because I have memory issues and would like to search my messages better like in Samsung (y'all awesome for that) and is afraid to accidently send something dumb to her boss/coworkers 🫶

There is supposedly a major update in the works for Samsun g messages. The update is supposed to bring better rcs support including reactions. As for the tabs, is kinda already exists but not exactly as you described. Once you categorize your message threads, you get the tabbed interface.

What exactly is the Samsung messenger app located to download on Google play. Because I download what looked like the 'messenger app' and I don't think it's it. Is it supposed to have advertisements? And the 'write' button is always at the lower right hand corner and it's constantly hitting the back button. Anyone, please and thank you
