I've been getting texts, but with email addresses instead of phone number with no way to block them. Anyone have any suggestions? This is getting very annoying. Thanks...

Hey,

I see another carrier with the option to block them. Verizon, in family safeguards and controls.

For now don't even open them just delete them and maybe they'll lose interest and go away.

Your guys talk to my guys. Lol. The first tech support specialist my brother talked with had no idea what he was asking about. The second one new exactly what the issue was and a few minutes later all done they're blocked.

I agree keep searching until you're absolutely sure.

Have a good one,

Hey,

@usernXyc5eq2MJ

There might be two ways you can block these lowlifes. Sign in to your account on your carriers website and search for block options. Look for something that can block your carrier email address and turn it on.

If you don't see any options for blocking them call your carrier and, explain the issue your having and ask if they can black them on their end.

My carrier provides the block option by way of my account settings. I am blocking them. I've heard that with AT&T you have to call their tech support and have them blocked on their side.

Never reply or open a link. Their phishing, they don't know you're there and will most likely move on to other phone numbers.

Hey,

@usernXyc5eq2MJ

You're very welcome for the information and I appreciate the reply.

It's a shame that you're carrier couldn't be of more help. How they can be unfamiliar with the issue I'll never know. It's their email address that's being used to send the text messages.

So far I know T-mobile and AT&T provide the option to block these. Hopefully there will be more soon. People have been reporting this more often these days. My brother is on AT&T and received one two days ago as a group message. He called AT&T and they set up the block for him.

Take care,

CLF

Maybe it's time I switch to AT&T or T-mobile :grinning_face:. I just started getting these and haven't heard of anyone else bothered by them yet. But I have a feeling it will be a 'New' thing. I am determined to figure it out though. Maybe I can have my guys talk to your guys...Take care yourself...
