Trouble syncing tablet to phone for messages/calls

I'm having trouble syncing my tablet(A7) to my phone(S10E) to use the phone/messages app on the tablet.  I scanned the QR code from the tablet, but the  phone says there is NO APP on the phone that can open the code/app in order to sync. Does anyone know what FREE app to use or what else can be done?

Do you have call and text from other devices in both your notification menus? Cause if you do just turn on your data connection or wifi. Not sure if A7 came with telephony features though.
