I have a refurbished S9. I have 2 smart tags. Play store says Smart Things can't be downloaded to the phone. Even though I had it on the old phone. Now how do I track my tags if necessary?

Galaxy S Phonesi mean you can buy more recent galaxy phone, something like S22 can track your SmartTags while S22 series still get update up to Android 16. You can use S9 as secondary phone, for YouTube/Spotify/Netflix, browsing

Galaxy S PhonesMost likely it would be because the latest version of Smart Things will not work on the S9. The S9 has Android 10, does it not? Samsung is ending support for Android 10 devices and things are going to stop working. You won't be able to use Samsung Wallet on an Android 10 devices soon. I imagine other apps will go like dominoes, especially any that require enhanced security, such as banking apps.

Galaxy S PhonesYour other phone already has the Smart Things app on it, it will most likely continue to work - until it doesn't. The phone you are trying to use to track your tags doesn't have the Smart Things app on it and you tried to download it. The version in the store is not compatible and your old phone likely didn't get updated because the update is not compatible with the phone. You might find an apk on apk mirror with the older version, or you can try to transfer the older version over via smart switch.
