Unknown Caller

I have a problem with calls from a friend. They come in with no called id, "unknown" gets displayed. If I answer it's him. The same calls to my wife's phone (a pixel 3a), the number is displayed correctly. We are both on the same carrier, I contacted them and they were no help.

do you have call forward on your phone, and if you do is your wife's phone number listed as the number to forward too.

That's what I thought but they say no.

I think you are correct. I swapped SIM cards and the problem went to her Pixel 3a. Thanks for your help!
