Using the notification bar with one hand

I think broadly I don't like some of the changes for UI 7 which feel like they are trying to move closer to apple, but that's not why I choose samsung. I don't want to rant too much, but on the first day, this is the one feature that is killing me:

Where is my notification bar? I can no longer get to it when using one hand.

Can I suggest swiping down from the top right twice in a row will go to the notifications? The first time goes to the settings bar, but right now a second swipe does nothing. Can this be an easy replacement instead of needing to reach all the way over to the top left?

Other posts show you how to change to the old way by the pen in the settings panel. You can also swipe left or right between them. I still think my suggestion is a good one.

If you long press on the home screen and go to settings, you can enable swipe down for notification panel. You can then swipe anywhere on the home screen to bring down notifications. Another swipe will bring down quick settings.

Installing Good Lock + QuickStar will give you even more control by allowing you to set what percentage of the status bar brings down notifications vs quick settings.

You're welcome. Glad it helped. Look into Good Lock. There are many helpful modules in addition to QuickStar. Home Up is another must-have for me.

The image you sent is from downloading "good lock" from the app store, right?

It's available in either Galaxy Store or Play Store. You download individual modules from inside GL.

Why oh why  the differences between an ANDROID  stand alone apart from the  IPHONE is NOT to make it alike?  

WHAT IS POINT TO MOVE THE SEARCH BAR FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM? !  IT'S NO DIFFERENCE THEN,  I'LL SLEEP ON MY BACK AND IN A MONTH TIME,  I'LL SLEEP ON MY STOMACH?  IT'S DUMB!  AS WELL,  WHERE THE OPTION TO EVEN REMOVE SEARCH BAR TO BEGIN WITH?  

THOSE BIG BUBBLE IPHONE LOOKING ICONS FOR ALL THE APPS ON AN ANDROID?  I JUST WISH WITH ALL THE INTERFACE AND SYSTEM UPDATE; AT THE LEAST,  GIVE US OPTION TO KEEP THE OLD INTERFACE WHILE THE CHOICE FOR THE SYSTEM UPDATE? AS IT IS A MUST IN ORDER FOR PHONE TO OPERATE
