Is it possible to develop a phone with the power and volume control buttons at the top? I've talked with several co workers who try to check in on parents thru out the day...no answer because somehow in the holding of the phone, the ringer has been turned off. Few people hold their phone at the top...move buttons there to avoid the constant accidental turning off ringer or volume set too low to be heard

Short of developing totally new hardware, the best way to resolve this issue on current Samsung devices is using a routine. Attached is an example of a routine you could set up on your loved one's device, bypassing silent/vibrate mode and forcing it to ring when receiving a call.

I thought I was the only person having problems with phone about the volume and the phone being hot!
