Cracked screen are not covered by warranty. You will need to repair/replace it.

Sorry for the late response... Yes, the warranty covers manufacturer's defects. Things that were not accidental or your fault. As long as there is NO damage present on the device your good.

Re: Warranty questions

JUMP TO SOLUTION

Not to hijack a post, but  I opened a work ticket through Samsung Chat Support about a week ago.  It was under warranty (I got it through Spring February 2017).  The screen inexplicably went black one day and never came back on.  It was working; I could hear it ringing and texts coming in.  I just couldn't see anything.

I did some research and learned others were having the same problem and had not dropped their phones or had water damage.

I  let the rep know that I had not dropped the phone, and it did not have water damage when he took my info for the ticket.  In fact, there was not a scratch on it, as I had it in a case.

I just learned that Samsung is sending the phone back to me unrepaired.  The reason:  it is out of warranty due to LCD damage?????

What gives?

A few days

You can message me directly and I can check the warranty status for you. However, as @Acrillix pointed out physical damages like cracked screens are not covered under the limited warranty.
