However, it still doesn't make logical sense, to me. Why does my galaxy store app usage, even for back up, require the knowledge of my contacts?
It is also needed for the Bixby update. In fact it wants my contact and phone info. It will not load without giving those permissions. Why is that and please dont tell me for backup. I don't need Samsung backup, I have other sources. Why is this not an option? This is crazy.
They use it for marketing and analytics, but say it's for "file sharing".
Samsung does not have a file sharing or messaging service attached to the galaxy store application.

A problem is that the Bixby update will not load without giving those same permissions since the new firmware update. I now have a feature that I cannot use after the fact. I am going to search for an alternative. This is crazy.
