Galaxy S PhonesI have been a diehard Samsung person for over 10 years now. This kills me, because as far as I know Samsung is THE BEST, but the screen mirroring for phones has ALWAYS been bad. I have now had 4 phones capable of going on a TV and there has always been an issue where there is stuttering. I have NEVER casted a Samsung phone and had it work well like I see other people do like it is no big deal. All the way back to my Infuse (wired display only) it had a stutter to it. Concerning the current wireless casting it is still the same dang thing. I have tried being on the same home wifi as a device, using a device that hosts the casting without home wifi, using that wifi with the phone wifi both off and on, many different apps, putting my phone inches away from the devices, and even most recently on my S21 using a settings app that activated the old standard screen cast in case it is just smart view that now sucks. NOTHING stops the Galaxy S phones from stuttering their screen casting. Often the audio will skip along with the video stutter which is so awful to try and deal with.
For wireless screen casting I have had S5 Active, S8 Active, and now S21. EVERY SINGLE ONE of them has done the same thing screen casting on MANY different displays in many different places. Displays that I just see someone cast to with a different phone SEAMLESSLY. Almost looks like a computer plugged into the HDMI. I will randomly be like "oh cool let me cast" and bam.... regular stuttering from the best phone brand there is.
What the heck is it about how Samsung sets up casting that has it always doing this when literally anything but a Samsung phone that casts happens with zero issues? Can this not be fixed at all? Why is the most amazing phone maker in the world lacking in such a standard thing? Every time I hook up wirelessly to a display I amend up being like "Oh yea.... that is why I don't really do thus that much"
For what it is worth I will say that the hdmi with the S21 is **bleep**g AMAZING. I had never seen the Dex thing and my God that thing WORKS. It beyond works. Regardless of that though I want to just walk up to a TV and have my casting work like anyone else's. I would honestly be happier pushing down the quality vs having stuttering. It is so irritating to look at crappy casting and then look at my phones throughout the years like "dang Samsung... how could it still be so bad?"
Take like 30 phones, screen cast them, analyze that **bleep** vs other phones, and please figure out what the heck you guys can do to match the competition. Up until getting this S21 I always assumed I just had that one in a hundred buggy S5 or S8 that happens to suck at screen casting. Now I have to just assume it is not a fluke, but how the feature is built by Samsung that causes it.
Not sure what could possibly help after what I have already done outside of months of development and an update fix, but if you can do that and figure it out PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do that. Thank you.

Galaxy S Phones
It's just crappy, through and through. Even wireless dex gives me input lag and stutter; sometimes even cutting out completely.
It's either wired or go home with Samsung.
