We have a brightness bar, why not a volume bar? Requiring to press media first just to raise or lower the volume is unnecessary and can be avoided just by adding a volume bar under the brightness one.

Why would there need to be a volume bar in the notification panel as far as I know EVERY phone has volume buttons on the side and NO phone has buttons on the side to control the brightness just saying

It's convenient, for the same reason videos let you adjust both volume and brightness just by sliding up or down on the left or right side. I double-tap to turn my phone on/off even though I have a button. If I'm using one hand having a volume bar is helpful. The buttons are mostly used when it's in my pocket not while I'm using it.

Omg! Why don't you just go and hire someone to hold your phone for you so you can tell them what you want them to do on your phone? This way you don't have to interact with the phone and nothing will be inconvenient for you.

You know, that's not a bad idea. It's just that volume is something we adjust far more frequently than brightness, and having physical buttons rather than pulling down a menu is more convenient. Plus, volume buttons are used for reseting, screenshots, taking pictures, and much more.

Maybe that'll be included in a future update!

I used to have and old device with that setting. It was very useful at night time. The device I am using right now has all keys on the right side. Sometimes I want to adjust the volume and I accidentally press the power key and power off the screen and it's very annoying.
