Galaxy S Phones@userxMp5qdnjJZ this sound is normal. It's likely the aperature of the adjustable lens adjusting for the current light in the shot.

Galaxy S PhonesI hear the noise from the face unlock feature too. Does the front facing camera also have a mechanism adjusting too?

Galaxy S PhonesThis is not normal. I know 2 people who own an s9+ that have dual apertures and not one of them makes this sound. This is ridiculous I can't sit in class and take a picture of the board without disrupting everyone. This is not worth the thousand dollar price tag.

Galaxy S PhonesI have always had iPhones and they were always SILENT. I spend a lot of time on Instagram at night and if I accidentally swipe at an angle instead of exactly vertically, it brings up the camera for a new story and you hear a loud click that is so jarring in a silent apartment at 5am when my husband is sound asleep. I hate these phones. Also just found out that I can't just turn my volume all the way down with the volume buttons like on an iPhone, without MUTING MY ENTIRE FREAKING PHONE. And there's no way to bypass it. I miss my iPhone. These things are a nightmare!!!

Galaxy S PhonesSo why the noise sounds are stronger than s9 +, and I noticed that the noise is not related to the aperture control, since when I put a flashlight in front of the lens, the noise that came from the aperture adjustment is much lower, the noise that changes the camera makes is much higher, and you can even hear it in the recorded file.
