Hello, I have an S9 and since the last update I am also stuck on 3G. I have gone back and forth with Boost CS multiple days who say everything is fine on their end and try to direct me to Samsung CS.
No fix. Boost Mobile CS told me this
"As per checking the towers in the area are 4g LTE capable so that means your device should be able to connect to a 4g LTE data services. And per checking the device it's already been updates and no problem on your account. The thing is you need to contact Device specialist from Samsung to check further the device. Once it's determined there are defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service, the manufacturer can repair or replace the phone."

Galaxy S PhonesBoost Mobile. The Reddit post with the similar topic now has at least 9+ people with the same issue. But we are getting the run around with customer support.
Baseband version is: ETG3
And this is the last update that was applied and sent out to phones July 31st, 2020.

Have same issue s9 stuck in 3g after last update I believe on July 31st. Spoke with multiple boost reps no help. Spoke to Samsung not much help either. Tried the ##72786# did not help anything. Got a new sim card it also did not help, updated profile and prl still 3G. Turned phones network from automatic to LTE/CDMA. Factory reset the phone like one rep requested, thinking I had it all backed up well to find out all but my photos so was pretty upset to know I lost all my photos to do a factory reset that did nothing to help at all. I believe this last update is screwing all of us and neither companies seem to care understand that the previous update was the issue and to quit telling people to reset or erase things unless it will truly fix the issue.

Galaxy S PhonesNot just S9 and S9+. I am running Note 9 and I am having the same issue. I've attempted every solution possible. It simply boils down to a poor software update that was pushed to our phones.
