Can a Galaxy S10+ be used internationally?

JUMP TO SOLUTION

I am US based, will be going to Europe. The power here is 120v; Europe is 220-240. Can the S10 handle that? Will I only need a plug adapter, or a power converter also?

Tried contacting Samsung, no idea what I was talking about.

Thanks

Your S10+ only sees the 5V out of the charger.

The travel adapter that comes with the S10+ can handle 120 or 240V. You will simply need a physical adapter to convert the plug style to the US adapter.

Many hotels in Europe have USB charge ports installed at the base of lamps, in desks, and in other areas. You just plug your USB charge cable into it and you're all set. I'd also recommend purchasing a Euro to US adapter which will step down the 240V to 120V and allow you to plug into Euro style outlets.

Before using public USB charging ports you may want to consider getting some protection like the Juice Jack Defender.
