This problem is not solved. I started using my Samsung S10 yesterday and first alarm clock this morning was impossible to dismiss despite the dismiss button displayed on the screen. Snoozing was the only option. Very frustrating. Please advise on how to fix the problem.

HOW did you try to use the dismiss button? Did you just touch it? I think you have to touch and hold and then swipe up to activate the button. Don't know why? Seems counterintuitive. Let me know if that helps.

I just tried this and it works like a charm.

I have the same problem. I can snooze the alarm, but I can't dismiss it.

You do have to Hold your finger there and then swipe up.
This is not a normal use of a button on the screen.
Very bad design.
But SNOOZE works just fine when you tap it.
I am assuming it's the same thing when receiving a phone call on the locak screen.
Hit the green call button and swipe up?
Consistency in usage would help here

Since the latest update a few days ago, I now have to open the Alarm Clock app in order to dismiss (or snooze) the alarm. Very irritating, to say the least.

I had the same problem and found the solution. In the app (clock) settings, you must allow the "appear on top" function. It will allow the app to sent notifications to the top screen even when in the locked screen mode.
