Having camera problems

hi, im having two camera problems with the rear camera.

1. When I open the application it takes 5 mins for the camera to load. During that time I have a black screen and even option to check my photos in bottom left corner does not work. I have delete the caches and force stopped the camera following directions from another blog, and still nothing.

2. When the camera does finally load, I can only take a photo from super wide angle if I zoom in anything passed 0.8 the picture goes completely fuzzy, including the extra zoomed in lens.

Been going on for a while now.  Any help please!

Re: Having camera problems

I would recommend trying to reset the camera settings. Go to the camera > click the gear in the top left corner, tap on reset settings and the camera setting will be reset.

Are you using the stock camera app?

-If yes, I would recommend testing your device to see if you experience these symptoms in safe mode.

If your phone is misbehaving, it's possible that a third-party app is causing the issue. To figure out what app is acting funny, you can use the Safe Mode feature. This allows you to easily identity and remove the app that may be causing the problem. Give this link a try:

I would also recommend wiping the cache partition on your device. The system cache partition stores temporary system data. It's supposed to allow the system to access apps more quickly and efficiently, but sometimes things get cluttered and outdated, so a periodic cache clearing can help make the system run more smoothly. Give these steps a try:

  1. •    Turn off the device.
  2. •    Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.
  3. •    When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.
  4. •    An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
  5. •    Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  6. •    Press Power key to select.
  7. •    Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  8. •    When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. •    Press the Power key to restart the device.
