S10 USB Tethering to my Linux router causes Intranet machines to fail to access the Internet

This was working fine with my S7. I use an old PC as my Intranet gateway to various machines on a wired Ethernet network.

I run a script that handles the USB connection to my S10 but when I go to use the other machines, ssh to an internet address works for about a few keystrokes and then hangs.

Does anybody have any idea why this would be happening ? What has changed with USB tethering in the S10 ?

I bought the phone in April 2020. Wifi hotspotting is OK and I can tether it direct to Win 7 but not on my CentOS Linux self-built router/gateway to my entire wired network.

I noticed that some S9 users had similiar trouble with the April update and wonder if it is the same basic issue ?

I am facing same problems while tethering to PC with Ubuntu 20.04  (Focal Fossa). The phone instantly restarts.
