S10e Overheating after screen froze/crashed

JUMP TO SOLUTION

This happened after around I installed PayPal, and then the screen froze/crashed. I left the phone like that for around 3-5 minutes trying to figure out how to hard reset it. When it was in that state, it wasn't heating up at all, staying cool to the touch. After it restarted though, it was hot to the touch instead, specifically the sides and back. I'm worried that it might be the battery or something else. Help!

Try powering it off for a couple of hours then turn it on, maybe night time.

Have you tried uninstalling the PayPal app? Does the symptom persist?

My S10 + is also overheating especially when I use my Runtastic app it gets over 140 degrees and that never happened on my S8 Plus also when I run several other apps the phone heats up to around 130 degrees not sure what to do at this point phone is 2 weeks old.

And yes I use an app to see how hot the phone is getting and it warns me when it gets above 115 degrees not sure if I should have kept my S8 Plus

My guess is though phone was working non-stop trying to fix the issue so that's why it was hot. Have you had any heat issues since then since this incident?

a battery issue would cause the battery to heat up even when the phone wasn't doing anything or even turned off. Unless that is happening I wouldn't worry about the battery.
