Someone else figured it out...Go to Settings then Apps. Scroll down until you find the Find my Phone app. Tap the app and NOT the settings for the app. Ignore everything but tap the three dots on the top right of the screen. It should say "Uninstall updates". Tap that and agree to uninstall the updates. So far it is working.
That's all well and good until the very next update. I am certain it will come back once there is. software update which they also FORCE you to take. For now, though, hopefully this works. Thank you.

I have an S10. Somehow I managed to turn off the app. I should have written down the steps, but I'll try to detail what I remember. Go to Settings then Apps.
