Samsung Pay problem

I bought an S10+ recently and realized after that it is an international version. I checked the "about" tab and indeed there's a "United Arab Emirates" code in it.

I live in the US and have found few problems with Samsung pay and others services.

Is there any way to change the region and make the phone work like a normal US version will?

I'll get straight to it, there is no official way to get Samsung Pay working in the US on an Exynos device (international model.) It is indeed possible but may require you to flash different firmware on your device.


First, you'd need to find a firmware for the Exynos model that does indeed support Samsung Pay. Of your firmware doesn't support it, you'll need to flash a firmware that does. Once on a supported firmware, install the current Samsung Pay (current version in the US: 3.7.40) and Samsung Pay Framework (current version: 3.1.67) for US based devices.


After being on a supported and installing the US versions of Samsung Pay, it SHOULD work.


If you want to save yourself the hassle, I'd recommend returning your device and getting a US model.
