Samsung Pay unable to connect

Hi, I have a new samsung Galaxy s10e. It did not have Samsung Pay pre-loaded so I downloaded from app store. But when setting up I got the error "Connection Error Unable to connect to Samsung Pay temporarily. Try again later."

 

What is needed to troubleshoot.

If you have tried these steps already, our next recommendation would be to again speak with the Samsung Pay team as they are the specialists for that specific app. They may need to look into things further on their end of things to see what's causing it to happen.

Thanks for reaching out! Are you signed into your Samsung account on the phone? Are you setting it up connected to mobile data or to Wi-Fi?

Yes, I have logged into samsung account. I also called the Samsung Pay support who have created the ticket.  I have tried both Wifi and Cellphone network to register but it fails all the time. Factory reset did not help. Samsung Pay support team asked to "optimieze battery usage", then clean the storage, shutdown for a minute and restart, but it still did not work.

In addition, Samsung Store does not list Samsung Pay which is surprising.

I used Samsung pay often on my year old 9+.  I had to replace it and can't even set up Samsung Pay on the new one.  It won't recognize that I have an internet connection nor my mobile data!  I was on the phone with your tech support for about 45 minutes yesterday and still no solution.  A ticket has been entered on my behalf.  Meanwhile, I will use Google Pay and if I am happy with that, I will forget about even trying to get Samsung Pay back.  I just thought you would like to know how frustrating this is and how you may lose customers over it.
