Text Typing/Read Settings Not Working

After the most recent update (One UI 1.1), I am unable to see when people are typing or when someone has read my messages. I double checked to see if Advanced Messaging was turned on, and it is. I restarted the phone and wiped the cache partition, then when that failed to change the issue, I force stopped the Messages app then cleared all data. Still no change. Help?

Try your carrier RCS messaging part of your carrier not your phone

AT&T provides this function, i still have AT&T... so why is it not showing up on my new Samsung phone anymore?

You would need to reach out to your carrier directly, this is a carrier specific feature.

I just call my carrier and tell them to look at RCS messaging or how do I do this? My note 9 just stopped advanced messaging on it's own yesterday

I'm having this exact problem. Tried going back and forth turning on amd off the advanced messaging setting. Nothings worked. Tried to see if any other setting has changed but I don't know what's up either. Have you found a solution?

the fix was the next update. it kinda fixed itself
