Before I bought this phone, I looked around at what Samsung was saying about the frequency of the monthly Android security updates for the S10. Monthly updates, Samsung assures us all on its web site. I bought the unlocked version simply because I want to be able to change cellular provider without having to flash new firmware on my phone. It looks like I bought the wrong cell provider-neutral phone. Phones like the iPhone and Pixel can also be used on any cellular provider, and get security updates when they're available, not 3 (or so) months later.
Costly mistake on my part, one that I won't make again. I'm very disappointed...nice phone, but no stability or security fixes in sight. I'm wondering if Samsung will bother to update the unlocked phones at all? Doesn't look promising. I shouldn't have to flash my cell provider's firmware on an unlocked phone to get updates that are promised.
